Description
Molybdenum rods are widely applied for heating elements in high-temperature furnaces, electrodes, screws, rabbles in rare earth smelting industry, heating electrodes in glass industry and support of lamp in the lighting industry, etc.
Specification
1. We produce pure and lanthanide doped molybdenum alloy rod;
2. Molybdenum rod can be divided into two types. Forging type allows to have oxidized film and slight forging hammer mark. the surface of polished type presents metallic luster and has no-oxidized phenomenon notably; the two surfaces have no defects, such as divided layer, crackle, burr and vertical crackle, etc.
3. Molybdenum rod is manufactured in random length pieces or cut to customers' desired lengths with diameters ranging from 0.20 inches to 1.75 inches.
Features of Molybdenum Alloy Rod
1. The density is from 9.8g/cm3 to 10.1g/cm3. The smaller diameter is, the density is higher.
2. Its purity is higher than 99.95%.
3. Molybdenum rod possesses features with high hot hardness, high thermal conductivity, and low thermal expansion to hot work steels;
4. It is a silvery-white, hard, transition metal, which has the eighth-highest melting point of any element.
5. Molybdenum alloy rod burns only at temperatures above 600 °C (1,112 °F).
6. It has the lowest heating expansion of any commercially used metal.
Parameters of Molybdenum Rods
Diameter (mm) | Length (mm) |
Ø2.0 - 30.0 | 2500 |
Ø30.0 - 60.0 | 2000 |
Ø60.0 - 100.0 | 1000 |
Ø100.0 - 200.0 | 600 |
The molybdenum rod has met the GB 4187-84 and AKM QB/WB-2006 Standard.
Package and Inspection
We offer material composition sheet and examination report which include density, flaw detection, dimensions and so on. Our products are packed in plywood case with expanded plastic. What's more, the case is moistureproof and grooved for fixed placing.
Other parameters of molybdenum rods can be produced on request.
